The Urgent Care Centre is available at Shotley Bridge hospital during the day and the Out of Hours centre is based here every evening. Please use this service wisely as the number of Doctors on call at such times is quite limited.

For serious injuries or life-threatening emergencies only please dial 999. If you attend the A&E department for minor illnesses they may refuse to see you or you may have to wait for a very long time to be seen. Calling 111 may help to direct you to the correct service if you are uncertain about the severity of your problem.
